2013 NAVAO Annual Meeting - Registration Open!

Attention NAVAO Members: The 2013 NAVAO Annual Meeting is currently scheduled  in conjunction with the American Academy of Optometry Meeting in Seattle:

Please note that, like last year, there will be a reception, followed by the Program/Keynote Speaker, and concluded with a dessert reception.

2013 NAVAO Membership Sign-Up/Renewal

Attention VA Optometrists and NAVAO Members: Please join or renew your membership for 2013 to strengthen our voice for VA Optometry. We’d also ask that you please encourage other optometrists at your facility to join NAVAO as well. Current or former members can simply login to the members area of the NAVAO website and follow the instructions to renew at the top of the page. Prior members with expired membership should also login to the members area to renew as your membership information will still be in our database. Please click on the Forgot User Name/Password link if you cannot remember your login information. New members (those who have never been a member of NAVAO) should join by visiting the Join Us page and selecting the appropriate membership category. Thank you!

2012 NAVAO Annual Meeting

NAVAO held its annual business meeting and reception on October 25, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency Phoenix in conjunction with the American Academy of Optometry Meeting. Many thanks to all of our members and distinguished guests in attendance. Our keynote speaker was Dr. John Townsend, Director of the VA Optometry Service. Dr. Chuck Haine and Mrs. Connie Haine were also recognized for their many years of service to the Optometry Residency Matching Service (ORMS). We look forward to seeing our members at next year's meeting in Seattle!

About the NAVAO

The National Association of VA Optometrists (NAVAO) is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1977. The objectives of the NAVAO are to encourage and promote the best possible primary eye and vision care for our nation's veterans and to promote the education, training, professional growth, and welfare of optometric staff, residents, and students. The NAVAO is also dedicated to fostering camaraderie and professional development among VA optometrists. Any VA staff, attending, consultant, research fellow, resident optometrist, or any other optometrist having an interest in VA optometry is eligible for membership.
